We are always looking for volunteers all around Oregon to help Lettuce Grow!  Below are descriptions of a few of the types of roles we typically seek volunteers for.  Click HERE to fill out our volunteer application form.

Classroom Instructors & Guest Speakers
Our volunteers and guest speakers educate inmates on organic gardening and sustainability topics. We provide classroom learning and hands-on experience in the garden.  We are passionate about the positive power of gardening! We invite Master Gardeners and anyone with farming and gardening expertise who enjoy speaking to groups to talk to us about becoming an instructor or classroom guest speaker. You must be at least 21 to volunteer in these roles and pass a background check.  Opportunities are in Portland, Salem, Central Oregon, and Eastern Oregon, with the greatest need in Central/Eastern.

Fundraising & Grantwriting
Do you love connecting the community with great nonprofits like Lettuce Grow?  Corporate sponsorships, private donations, and grants keep Lettuce Grow strong and able to grow into more facilities and reach more inmates!  Experience in nonprofit fundraising and/or grantwriting is preferred.

Outreach & Special Events
Please let us know if you’d be interested in helping our Special Events Coordinator with future event planning and/or day-of-event assistance.  There are lots of events around Oregon where we need help tabling so we can get the word out about our programs and engage the community!
